It was a dark and Romantic stormy day in October and I had a wedding at the remote and beautiful Carreg Cennen Castle with the lovely Darren and Michelle. It was a fabulous day, despite the weather's best efforts. And they've even nominated my photos for My South Wales Wedding Magazine's Wedding of the Year. So I guess they were happy!
It's rare in England and Wales to have a Humanist wedding blessing and even more rare for me to visit Fforest Camp, set deep in a seaside valley in Ceredigion, near New Quay. But I'm very glad I did because this turned out to be one of my favourite weddings of the year. Fforest is a pretty unique venue, not the usual country house hotel, but a luxurious campsite allowing visitors to choose between the basic tents to rather luxurious wooden lodges, some are like space capsules dropped to Earth.
Yet what really makes a wedding isn't the place, it's the people and Paul and Miriam really made the day an event, breakfast laid on, as well as lunch and an afternoon tea. All set off with a gloriously relaxed shabby chic celebration of across the location's marquee and barns. So I've set the whole thing off with a bit of subtle vintage style processing and non -intrusive journalistic style. And of course, as ever this is only a small selection of the final images.
